So here we are, dining at the same time in the adjacent room of the restaurant where you will enjoy a delicious 3-course menu this evening.

While fleeing from his table neighbor, the endlessly chatty Swabian Baroness, the detective narrowly misses the supposed murder of the hostess's husband, Baron von Zuckerberg.

True, his health wasn't the best. But to suddenly keel over into the Maultäschlesupp is not the proper English way to die, even in Swabia. However, for Sherlock Holmes, what had been a deadly dull evening is now saved.

A dialectical crime is at hand, an extremely puzzling case indeed, because the investigation results seemingly rule out any influence of poison. Questioning of the witnesses, the medical examiner, and some of the dinner guests makes some innocent lambs in the room appear suspicious.
The famous detective eagerly and cheerfully engages his little gray cells. "Swabian cleverness" quickly spreads, but no false house builder can deceive the master so easily. For him, the solution to the case becomes clear as day soon enough. As always, though, he lets us stumble in the dark for a while before adeptly bringing the murderer to justice.

Did he anticipate not surviving his birthday and that only high-profile detectives could solve it? Did Sir Barnabas leave clues that would lead to the killer? Or are there entirely different reasons behind it?

The situation takes an even more bizarre turn when Sir Barnabas Edwarson suddenly appears himself. But he was murdered a year ago! Is someone playing a macabre game here?
